This entry is part 16 of 18 in the series Health Highlights

The Annual Library Health Fair is coming up on Saturday, November 8, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. Stop by for vision, hearing, cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and stroke risk screenings. No need to register. I want to thank the screeners that make this event possible: University Hospitals, Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, and the Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center. We also will have 13 additional organizations with information tables in the Porter Room during the Fair. Click here for a complete list of the organizations attending.

Medicare information at the Health Fair

One of the organizations attending will be the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP). This is an excellent resource for Medicare Information. They will have a table in the Porter Room for Medicare Q & A.

Programs at the Health Fair

There are still spaces left in 2 library programs during the Health Fair: Advances in Obesity Medicine at 1PM, and What is EMDR Therapy? at 2PM. Click on the link to register. If there is still space at the time of the program, feel free to drop-in. Since we were not able to have the scheduled Arthritis program, I wanted to take this opportunity to list some arthritis resources that can be found in the library collection. Thanks for reading my blog, and I hope to see you on Saturday!
