We hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s line-up of STEAM posts from our bloggers- it’s been a blast writing them for you! Speaking of blasts, did you know that July 20th is International Moon Day? On July 20th, 1969, the Apollo II mission successfully landed on the Moon, marking a historically significant event in human history- the first time mankind stepped on the moon! Since then, dozens of different missions have been sent to the Moon to collect and study artifacts found on and below the Moon’s surface, answering many of the world’s questions about our only natural satellite, and creating some new ones too. To celebrate the 56th anniversary of this event, the Moon, and our explorations across our solar system, I’ve selected a variety of different children’s nonfiction books you can check out from Westlake Porter Public Library!
