Homemade Play-Dough Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup flour

2 tsp cream of tartar

1/2 cup salt

1 TSBP vegetable oil

1 cup water

food coloring (optional)

  • Combine all of the dry ingredients (flour, cream of tartar and salt)
  • Add water to a medium size pan, add food coloring (if using) Add vegetable oil to water mixture
  • Add dry ingredients to pan
  • Cook over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally
  • Dough will come together in a ball
  • Once dry and fully formed into a ball, remove from heat
  • Let cool completely
  • Once cool knead dough for 5 minutes to soften
  • Store dough in an airtight container
