Homemade Play-Dough Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup salt
1 TSBP vegetable oil
1 cup water
food coloring (optional)
- Combine all of the dry ingredients (flour, cream of tartar and salt)
- Add water to a medium size pan, add food coloring (if using) Add vegetable oil to water mixture
- Add dry ingredients to pan
- Cook over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally
- Dough will come together in a ball
- Once dry and fully formed into a ball, remove from heat
- Let cool completely
- Once cool knead dough for 5 minutes to soften
- Store dough in an airtight container
