Welcome back to the Kinder Club blog! Each week we will focus on a letter of the alphabet and share fun stories, activities and tips to help you get ready to make the big leap into Kindergarten.

This week’s letter is Ee!

E is for ear, egg and elephant!

Can you trace the letter in the picture above with your finger? Can you write the letter on a piece of paper? Try writing the letter in uppercase and lowercase. Remember uppercase is BIG and lowercase is small.

We have an EGG-stremely silly book for you today! Click on the video below to listen to Mrs. K. share an EGG-citing story about a good egg. A veerrryyy good egg! Can you remember three good things that the egg did at the beginning of our story? How many other eggs did our good egg live with in the store? Can you remember any of their names? What did the good egg learn at the end of our story?

Thank you to HarperCollins Publishers for allowing us to share this story with you.

Mrs. K. went on a letter hunt looking for things that start with the letter E. How many things did she find? Can you name them? How many things can you find? Did you find anything on your body? Did you find anything in your refrigerator? Can you think of any animals that start with our letter? What was your favorite item that you found today?

If you picked up a Letter of the Week packet from the library, have fun completing this week’s activities and stay tuned for next week’s letter.

Kindergarten Readiness Tip: E is for emotions. Emotions are feelings such as happiness, sadness, anger, love and excitement. What makes you happy? Sad? Angry? Excited? Look at the pictures below. Can you tell how each child is feeling?
