Welcome back to the Kinder Club blog! Each week we will focus on a letter of the alphabet and share fun stories, activities and tips to help you get ready to make the big leap into Kindergarten.
This week’s letter is Ww!
W is for waffle, whale and worm!

Can you trace the letter in the picture above with your finger? Can you write the letter on a piece of paper? Try writing the letter in uppercase and lowercase. Remember uppercase is BIG and lowercase is small.
Click on the video below to hear Mrs. K. share a silly story about Benny the Woodpecker and his love for waffles. Can you find Benny on each page? How many times can you find the letter W in our story?
Mrs. K. went on a letter hunt today and found several items that start with the letter W. Look at the picture below to see what she found. How many items can you find? Can you eat or drink any of the items you found?

If you picked up a Letter of the Week packet at the beginning of the month, have fun completing this week’s activities. August packets are available tomorrow, July 28 for pick-up. If you haven’t already, please visit our Calendar of Events to register for your packet.
Kindergarten Readiness Tip: W is for writing. Practice writing the uppercase (BIG) and lowercase (small) letters you’ve learned in Kinder Club. Can you write them with a pencil? Crayon? Chalk?
