Welcome back to the Kinder Club blog! Each week we will focus on a letter of the alphabet and share fun stories, activities and tips to help you get ready to make the big leap into Kindergarten.

This week’s letter is Oo!

O is for ocean, orange and owl!

Can you trace the letter in the picture above with your finger? Can you write the letter on a piece of paper? Try writing the letter in uppercase and lowercase. Remember uppercase is BIG and lowercase is small.

Are you ready for a trip to ocean with Mrs. K.? Click on the video below to hear her read a sweet story about a family’s day at the beach and all the things they discover in the ocean. Can you think of any ocean animals that begin with the letter O? I can think of three other animals that start with the letter O. Can you?

Thank you to Simon & Schuster publishers for allowing us to share this story with you.

Mrs. K. went on a letter hunt today and found several items that start with the letter O. How many items can you find? How many of your items were big? How many of your things were small?

If you picked up a Letter of the Week packet from the library, have fun completing this week’s activities and stay tuned for next week’s letter.

Kindergarten Readiness Tip: O is for order. Do you remember the order of the items found at the beach in the story Mrs. K. shared with you? Look at the pictures below. Can you plant a flower and build a snowman by tapping each picture in the correct order with your finger?
