(Westlake) Celebrate National Library Week from April 6 through 12 at Westlake Porter Public Library. This year’s theme is “Drawn to Your Library.” From storytimes to creative projects in the Makerspace, and everything in between—there is something to draw everyone. Westlake Porter Public Library will have activities in which patrons can share what draws them there. In addition to National Library Week the library will also host Patron Appreciation Week.
Throughout the week visitors can decorate a large puzzle piece to add to a Community Puzzle in the lobby. In addition there will be Pop-Up Art Stations throughout the library for creative exploration of different art materials and techniques in a fun, no-pressure space. Patrons can give their art to the Free Little Art Gallery, a service desk for use, or take them home.
In honor of Patron Appreciation Week, patrons can stop by between 2 and 4 p.m. on Monday, April 7 and 10 a.m. and Noon on Thursday, April 10 and enjoy a complimentary beverage and snack as a token of the library’s appreciation.
