Yoga is for kids, football players, ballerinas, moms, dads, and even grandparents! It’s a wonderful way to stay healthy both physically and mentally, and it’s also lots of fun!
You can do yoga anytime, anywhere and any place. All you need is a mat or towel and some comfortable clothing. No shoes or socks necessary!
Yoga makes you stronger, more flexible, and helps increase your balance and concentration. Some days you may have better balance than others and that is perfectly fine! Be patient and keep trying.
The most important part of yoga is breathing, so be sure to focus on breathing in and out as you practice your different poses. Start with deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Do this several times and then add some shoulder shrugs.
Now you’re ready to begin your practice. Namaste!

We also have a wonderful collection of yoga books and videos for you to borrow. Here are a few suggestions!
This book is the first in The Yoga Game Series. It invites children of all ages to feel the waves of their breath, to connect with the joy of a diving dolphin and to discover the magic of nature. Play with the words, guess the riddles and enjoy an actual yoga practice down by the sea!
This “wake up” story is so much more than a story. It’s a practice for kids and parents to greet the morning with joy and embark on their daily adventures with intention and confidence. Reach up to the sky, press your feet into the earth, and get ready for a great day!
Good Morning Yoga is also available as a video and as a Hoopla e-book.
